The State of The Media in North County
Journalist Roundtable on KOCT

KOCT is proud to present a Special Journalist Roundtable program from 6pm to 7pm on KOCT Channel 18 this Thursday, July 11th 2013.

The program is hosted by Kent Davy, former Editor of the North County Times, our journalists are Alison St John from KPBS, and the Columnist for the San Diego Union-Tribune, Logan Jenkins. Our Special Guest will be Dean Nelson, Professor of Journalism at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Our Host and Journalists will be discussing the State of The Media in North County. These experts on local media will discuss the sale of the North County Times and the health of the newspaper industry nationwide. They will explore what fewer newspapers means to our community and the role that new media such as social media and blogs plays in the life of young Americans. They will also discuss the local TV news offering of KPBS and the San Diego Union Tribune.

This will be a fascinating one hour discussion that you will not want to miss.
