North County Talks: Young Voices TV - Boys to Men
There is currently a "boys crisis" critically harming our society. Boys and young men all over the nation are struggling with school, the law, substance abuse, violence and suicide. In response to this crisis, a commission of 34 nationally known scholars and advocates created a detailed proposal for the creation of a White House Council on Boys and Men.
In this episode, O’Naje Jones and Louis Castrejon lead this conversation with Joe Sigurdson and Craig McClain, the founders of the Boys to Men Mentoring Network, a nationwide program with 33 centers across the globe, designed “to create communities of men who teach, support, mentor and encourage boys to become compassionate and accountable men.”
