North County Talks: Young Voices TV - Tariq Khamisa Foundation

There is currently a "boys crisis" critically harming our society. Boys and young men all over the nation are struggling with school, the law, substance abuse, violence and suicide. In response to this crisis, a commission of 34 nationally known scholars and advocates created a detailed proposal for the creation of a White House Council on Boys and Men.

In this episode, O’Naje Jones and Louis Castrejon lead this conversation with Tasreen Khamisa, Executive Director for the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF) and Edwin Vazquez, Peace Educator of TKF, which is a San Diego nonprofit with a mission to create safer schools and communities through educating and inspiring children in the restorative principles of accountability, compassion, forgiveness, and peacemaking.
