29th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Virtual Reception

 
 

The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is a result of the City’s pledge in 1989 to honor those students who exemplify the ideals of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

Scholarships are awarded to students who live in Oceanside or attend high school in Oceanside. This scholarship is awarded based on the student’s academic achievement, financial need, community service and potential success in college. 

This year due to COVID-19 the traditional gathering to celebrate the winners of the scholarship was not possible. The city of Oceanside partnered with KOCT in order to celebrate these bright students with a virtual ceremony.
