COMMUNITY HEALTH MATTERS

KOCT - North County’s Community Television Channel has produced another series of Community Health Matters. The topic for this season is Behavioral Health Services and Treatment, featuring three area health service centers: Tri-City Medical Center, North County Health Services, and Vista Community Clinic.
The program is made possible by a grant from the Tri-City Healthcare District Board of Directors Community Healthcare Alliance Committee, allowing KOCT to produce the following three 30-minute shows:

Episode one - Tri-City Medical Center
Featuring Sharon Schultz, Chief Nurse Executive; Joy Melhado, Clinical Nurse Manager In-Patient Health Services; Carola Hauer, Crisis Stabilization Unit Manager; and Sarah Jayyousi, Operations Manager of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services.

Episode two - North County Health Services
Featuring Dr. Leon Altamirano, Director of Integrated Behavioral Health; Dr. Shayna Walker, Director of Behavioral Health; and Luzmam Vigil, Community Engagement Manager.

Episode three - Vista Community Clinic
Featuring Cara Walstein, Behavioral Health Service Manager; Dr. Murray Bennett, Psychiatrist; and Alida Zappone, Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

The series was hosted by KOCT’s own Kellie Davis, produced by KOCT's Executive Director, Tom Reeser and KOCT's Station Manager, Jacob Rush, and edited by Miguel Blanco. Special thanks to Jamie Johnson of the Tri-City Medical Center, Cheryl McMahon of North County Health Services, Triveni Sheshadri of Vista Community Clinic, and KOCT’s Angela Miranda.
